Sei-Ki Mosaic - Athens presents Polyphony in Sei-Ki - "Breathing Hands" with Catherine Dompas

This workshop teaches the fundamental principles and practices in Sei-ki, the work developed by the Japanese Akinobu Kishi as a result of his deep study of Shiatsu.

Breathing hands,

Touching the space and opening the hearts.

The body moves, distortions are recognized and released, the body recalibrates.

What we will learn :

In this Athens Sei-Ki workshop with Catherine Dompas, we will explore more deeply the power of breathing hands or gyoki, the basis of Sei-Ki.

Catherine will show the pillars of Sei-Ki as she received them from Kishi and Kyoko Kishi :

* Breathing hands, gyoki and waki

* Katsugen Undo or spontaneous body movement

* Resonance

* Kidoma or the right action at the right moment with the right space

Some basic energetic body practices, internal silence and spontaneous movements will needlessly flow into the core of the workshop’s program.

Message from Catherine:

As a former Shiatsu student of Master Yuichi Kawada - Brussels, I continued my path in the various Japanese practices such as Zen meditation (Soto), Sei-ki, and Budo Waraku. Through various travels and workshops in Europe and Japan with japanese masters (Kishi Sensei and Kyoko Kishi, Maeda Sensei) I am infused by ancestral Japanese practices: misogi (purification by water), chinkon, the study of kototama (study of the sounds and

vibrations of the universe). Sei-Ki is an integral part of my everyday life, on the futon and in everyday life. I like to share my knowledge and experiences in groups, in 1-1 settings and also by zoom, in my Wa-Chi Dojo in Corneilhan (Béziers - South of France), where I teach the basics of Sei-Ki, Budo Waraku and Shiatsu. Curious and deeply interested in the dynamics of the body, vibrations and frequencies, sounds and the world of forms/non-forms, I like to practice this energetic adventure on a daily basis through research and experience through movements, breathing practice, silence and the information my body gives me. I love continuing this movement in spontaneous painting practice too. Happy to meet you on our next Sei-Ki journey in Athens.

This workshop is open for all bodywork practitioners, no specific experience required.

For those who already know Sei-Ki, this workshop will be a deeper immersion into some aspects of Sei-Ki practice.
